New From Our Code Monkey!

The FRC² leadership team is happy to announce the launching of our new FRC² forum and gallery in our website.

The purpose of the forum is another avenue for our members to get involved, communicate with one another, and seek help from your fellow peers.
The purpose of the gallery is to post FRC² event pictures, post pictures for art critique, an
d build your own photo gallery.

These new items are just another way for us to make connections! Please check it out and start using these wonderful tools.

You can create an account in either the forum or the gallery, but the good thing is that whatever account you create works in both databases. This allows you to switch back and forth between the forum and the gallery through the website.

Tall Tales From A Large Man

Using scientific proof and state-of-the-art multimedia techniques, Aaron James Draplin of the Draplin Design Co. delivers a suckerpunch of a talk that aims to provide bonafide proof of work, the highs and lows of a ferociously independent existence and a couple tall tales from his so-called career in the cutthroat world of contemporary graphic design. Just a regular guy with a trajectory a little dirtier than yours, his talk is open to all oncomers brave enough to show up. If you are a youngster, you may find yourself inspired to attack your design future in a different way. If you are established, you may just leave feeling grateful you don't have anything to do with him. Hard to say. One night only, Denver!

Who is this guy?

Raised in the Michigan Northwoods, schooled at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design, and currently hunkered down in the mighty Pacific Northwest, the Draplin Design Co. proudly rolls up its sleeves on a number of projects related to the Print, Identity, Web Development, Illustration and Gocco Muscle categories. We make stuff for Coal Headwear, Union Binding Co., Field Notes, Richmond Fontaine, Nike, Wired, Timberline, Ford Motor Co., Viva Voce, Hutchco, Patagonia, Chunklet, Incase, Giro, Cobra Dogs, Burton Snowboards, Hughes Entertainment, Megafaun and even the Obama Administration, if you can believe that. We pride ourselves on a high level of craftsmanship and quality that keeps us up late into the wet Portland night

Join us for this inspiring night - where you can also purchase a uniquely designed, limited edition, three color poster!
